This strategy falls into the Trend Following category of strategies and can best be described as a Trend-Biased Mean Reversion strategy with emphasis on optimising the entry price.

Partial entries to average into the money and aggressive take profit partial exits are common with this strategy. This is a Swing strategy. Whilst Scalp strategies put emphasis on maintaining a high win percentage in exchange for lower profit per trade, Swing strategies focus on maximising the profit per trade at the expense of having a lower win percentage.
