Invented by Trendespresso, the Affogato indicator follows a guided set of rules to generate automated signals:
Start with two Supertrends for basic directional determination
Filter out the noise with Volatility and Volume thresholds
Sort out only the strongest signals with moving average analysis
Exit trades partially or fully when Take Profit or Stop Loss levels are hit
Built with automated trading in mind, Trendespresso has carefully crafted this strategy to identify trends after initial confirmation and maintain an optimistic outlook to prevent being "wicked out" of the trade. This strategy falls squarely into the category of strategies. Emphasis is put on before making any decision. A downside of this ideology is a worse entry price (in hindsight!) but an upside is greater per trade profitability and around-the-clock trade execution due to the automated nature of this strategy.
≥50% entries and ≥50% exits are expected with this strategy. This is a Swing strategy. Whilst Scalp strategies put emphasis on maintaining a high win percentage in exchange for lower profit per trade, Swing strategies focus on maximising the profit per trade at the expense of having a lower win percentage.
